May 13, 1917 - February 26, 2010

Flag of ScotlandDonald Clyde Munsil 92, passed away on February 26, in Chandler, Arizona. Donald was an accomplished bookkeeper and woodworker and very proud of his Scottish heritage as a member of the Kellie clan.

He and his brothers co-owned Munsil Brothers Builders, Inc., a local construction company building homes and churches throughout Metro Phoenix in the 1940s and 50s.

Later in life, he and his beloved wife, Hazel, owned Munsil’s Mill, a specialty cabinet shop, building various wood products and designs with pride and perfection for residences and businesses.

Don was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church (UMC) serving as an usher, greeter, council and choir member. His greatest gift was his devotion to the welfare of his family.

He joyfully joins wife, Hazel, son-in-law, Russell, and great-grandson, PJ; leaving behind son, Robert Kellie (Mary) Munsil; daughter, Dawn Marie Phillips Osborn; grandchildren, Tamera (John) Zivic, Russell Phillips, Jr., Tina Phillips, Mary (Mike) Waring, Bob Munsil and Don (Sarah) Munsil, along with great- and greatgreat grandchildren who all treasure the stories he told and the time they spent with him!

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 11:30am at St. Paul’s UMC, 421 N Hill St, Globe.
